Well, what can I say. I really loved this manga and I'm really sad to see it end. I think I really identified with the main character (programmer, afro, just about the same age), so I'm really happy it ended exactly the way I wanted -- with Kurose waiting for Tomoe to grow up before they get married (or even kiss).
To those who wanted a Prez end, my condolences -- she was a worthy adversary. To those who wanted a pedo end, you were probably reading a different manga than I was (though Tomoe was indeed very cute).

The ending is good for Kurose who make the safest choice. I'm not really surprise since the Kurose told her that she can't kiss in this age. I would say that the length is appropriate for this kind of pure and innocent relationship. Thanks for your great translation!

The ending was the best for this kind of story, I was seriously worried about the author doing something different, but I'm very satisfied with how everything was concluded. I kinda feel sorry for the prez, but Tomoe-chan was SO cute! I'm glad Kurose waited for her. Thanks again for your hard work, and I hope you pick the next work of this author.

Sometimes I think its ok to end a manga instead of dragging it, making it repetitive and dull, I think the ending is sufficient and thank you very much for the scanlator and this website, GOOD JOB!

ReplyDeleteNow the ending; it was a nice, appropriate ending, and I am fine with how it ended, but this being a seinen, I was expecting him to drop Tomoe out of the relationship angle and get with the president, keeping Tomoe as a good friend. So I guess you could say that I'm kinda disappointed, but all-in-all, it still ended nicely.

Only if it's as good/heart-warming as Miman Renai. To be honest, as much as I'd like that to be true, I doubt it can reach that level.
ReplyDeleteThe ending... makes sense. Though if she still thinks you can't kiss before you're 20, it seems it went from a dude in love with a kid, to a dude in love with a mentally challenged girl. Not that I don't approve.
ReplyDeleteStill, it wasn't a very good manga. It was pretty rushed, and not very coherent. It really shows that the mangaka doesn't have much experience writing.
But... it was warm, it was cute, and it was just wrong-yet-right enough that I enjoyed it greatly.

ReplyDeletethis manga is so good. The story line is great. Kurose is really well drawn. Mim/a/n bro thank you for picking this series to scanslate. It must have taken a long time and a lot of work. I finished it in 3 days >_< it was too good.
ReplyDeleteThere is a film of similar plot, Kungfu master by Agnes Varda but of an older woman, younger boy. It ended in a bad way. Watch it if you have a chance. ... ok (better go rant in my own blog I take up too much space ;P)

Thanks for your hardwork for translating this great manga. Things i love about the mangaka's unique trait is the expressions on the character. exaggeratted but so cute and funny.
and i think i know why Kurose love her, not just the cuteness but the positive thinking, innocent, cheerful nature which not many adults have (at least around me). hope she doesnt change whatever happen
